After removing the overgrown area, removing the grape vine, I still see ants. They aren't in my house, just now and then I can see them running across my walkway, or porch. The spraying done before the house was transferred to us, is guaranteed for a year, but I don't want to wait that long to take action.
I've tried to find the nest, or nests with an old trick. Dab a little sugar water, or honey on the back of the carpenter ant. She will eat the sugar or honey, get filled fast and run back to the nest to deposit it. Well, after the carpenter ant hits the grass it's hard to follow the bugger without disturbing it. The latest nest appears to be in my front yard. The side yard had one under the garden, but I see very little activity there so far. The adventure continues.
