Since Terro makes several products let me tell you which one I tried. I tried the bait in a bottle, it is a liquid bait.
Ok what I did: I put several small drops in paths of large black ants, Carpenter Ants. They found a few and I waited for the ants to fill up and return back to their nest. While the number of Carpenter Ants increased at the small drops, I kept replenishing the bait, and making the dots bigger. I had little puddles of Terro Ant Killer with a circle of ants happily eating away at it. Over a few days, I kept watch replenishing the supply, as time went on I noticed few and few ants. Soon after 3-4 days, zero activity at the Terro liquid bait, and zero activity originally there had been many.
I'm guessing form the results, zero overall activity, the bait worked, not that they just tired of it.
Now my real concussion. Although the liquid bait worked, nature abhors a vacuum. So I will once again have carpenter ants crawling around my house. Had this been inside my house, where I have more control of nature, I would say great. Now this isn't a reflection on the product, it seems very sound. Just that I don't want any readers getting their hope up. This was an outside test.
